How Living Things response to Stimuli:

How living things response to stimuli is another way for saying how living things would react naturally if something happened below are examples of how living things would living things response to Stimuli. For example there is a baby and one night the baby hears a thunder. The thunder scares the baby and they baby would automatically cry because he's scare. the stimuli would be the thunder the response would be the crying.

Land Animals-
  • Fly: Flies fly away if you try to swat them
  • Tortoises: Tortoises hide in their shell if you try to touch them or pick them up
  • Land Animals (in general): Most Land Animals will run away if a preditor is chasing/stalking them, for example a Zebra runs away from a lion ect.

Land Plants-
  • Sensitive Plant: If you try to touch this type of plant it closes up
  • Sunflower: Sunflowers rotate, following the sun during the day

Sea Creatures-
  • Pufferfish: A pufferfish blows up for need of protection.
  • Clown Fish: A Clown Fish attacks you if you get too close (the clown fish will bite you) .
  • Sharks: Most Sharks become aggressive when they hear a fish struggling or if they smell blood.
  • Jellyfish: Some jellyfish tentacles, are filled with poison which causes a painful sting if touched..Click here for more information about Jellyfishes
  • Squid: Squid squirt ink at predators.
  • Octopie: Octupie squirt ink at predators.
  • Dolphins: dolphins

  • Fire Coral: Fire corals can sting and scrape your skin if touched
  • *(unknown name): If you try to touch this type of coral it will hide in it's tube
  • Sea anemone are a protection some fishes
